After a successful pilot class in August of 2022, the RV Women’s Alliance and the RV Technical Institute are taking their All-Female Technical Class nationwide in 2023. Through the partnership, five classes will be offered across the United States, including classes in Texas, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Indiana.
“A significant area of opportunity on the recruitment front is attracting more women into the RV technician field,” said Tracy Anglemeyer, RV Technical Institute Director of Recruitment and RV Women’s Alliance Board Member. “The RV Technical Institute and the RV Women’s Alliance are very aligned in the value we place on education and providing the skills to people in our industry to succeed and grow in their careers.”
There will be five classes around the United States including Dallas, Texas; Tualatin, Oregon; Elkhart, Indiana; Jacksonville, FL; and Camp Hill, PA. Each class will be open to 12 women who are either looking to become RV technicians or women already in the industry looking to enhance their skills. Applications are live and those interested can apply here.
“We are very excited to be expanding our partnership with the RV Technical Institute this year to provide this incredible training opportunity to women currently in our industry and those looking to enter the RV industry,” said RV Women’s Alliance President Susan Carpenter. “There is such a need for trained and certified RV technicians and the RV Technical Institute has the best program around to prepare aspiring RV techs for a successful career.”
In the week-long class, students will gain competencies on seven RV systems, including propane, plumbing, electrical, appliances, generators, body, and chassis, providing the working knowledge necessary to perform pre-delivery inspections.
Students will enjoy lunch provided each day thanks in part to our generous sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and those looking to sponsor learn more here.
