Meet Nancy Rapp

Since the age of 10, I have lived in Elkhart County but did not set foot into an RV plant until 2004 when I was asked to take over a sales territory from a 30+ year veteran who was retiring. I was so green back then that I spent most of my time soaking up as much information as possible trying to learn everything I could about the products I was selling and how they were used in the manufacturing process of an RV. I am grateful for those that helped with my RV education, which is part of the reason for my involvement in RVWA. I want to help teach the next generation how to navigate the industry and share what I know as I have invested close to 20 years selling into the RV market.

For some, the fast pace of the RV industry may be a bit much, but I thrive on it. Those that know me understand my inability to sit still and my need for constant action, making the RV industry the perfect fit for me. My career has been on the supplier side working for companies that produce exterior sidewall products used on travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motorhomes. I moved up from a District to Regional Sales Manager and then National Sales Manager in 2017. I love the role that I am in now because it gives me the best of both worlds: the opportunity to lead and develop a team of talented sales people, while at the same time still interacting with customers.

In my spare time I can be found outdoors working in my garden. I love working in the dirt and playing in the dirt. I have logged countless hours riding on the ORV trails in Michigan and have ridden dirt bikes, four wheelers, and UTVs. Let it be known that I should stick with four wheels over two. When the weather turns snowy, I switch out my side by side for a snowmobile. Northern Michigan is my happy place and my husband and I hope to move there permanently once we retire. Until then, I am still having a blast in the RV world and hope to leave it a better place by giving back as much as it has given me.
