Meet Monika Geraci

Board Member Spotlight

Marketing Strategy & Operation at the RV Industry Association; Chair of Awards Committee and on the Board of Directors at RVWA Charitable Foundation

RVing has been part of my life since before I was born. With parents who owned RVs from the time they met, I had the privilege of seeing much of the American West through the back window of our motorhome or at campground across many states. When I toured colleges on the West Coast, you know it was riding shotgun with my dad in the motorhome. I didn’t choose to attend any of those colleges, but instead decided to head to the unknown-to-me East Coast to pursue a degree in political science at Northeastern University in Boston. How did my dad deliver my furniture? Driving that Class A into downtown Boston.

After graduating college with a degree in Political Science and a Communication Minor, I made the move to Washington, D.C. where I did political affairs at a Public Relations firm that managed non-profit organizations. It’s no surprise that when a job for a Government Affairs Manager popped up at the RV Industry Association, I jumped at the opportunity. Fifteen years later, I am the Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications at the RV Industry Association, overseeing industry communications, website and social media content, and all PR activities for Go RVing, the national marketing campaign for the RV industry. I also serve as the RV Industry Spokesperson and expert on RV industry data and trends.

Prior to my communications role, I was a key member of the Government Affairs team leading the growth and expansion of the RV industry’s Advocacy Day, the release of the first ever economic impact study of the RV industry, and the strategic policy communications of the association. I am a recipient of both the RV Industry’s inaugural 40 Under 40 award and RV Pro’s 40 Under 40 award.

One of the initiatives I have been most honored to be a part of is the RV Women’s Alliance. I am a founding board member and was integral in the early forming of the organization by chairing the Marketing Committee that created our very first website, social media channels, and spread the word about our amazing organization. I continue to contribute to the writing of many of our press releases and lead the team that established the RV Women’s Alliance Awards Program.

In my spare time, I am an amateur baker, neighborhood mayor, and lover of the outdoors—especially if it involves water or a pool. My two daughters and husband are my everything and my work through the RV Women’s Alliance and other volunteer efforts make me feel like I am making the world a better place for them.
