RV Women’s Alliance Members Give Back to Care Camps And The Boys and Girls Club

The RV Women’s Alliance Board made a commitment to include community service aspects to their events for 2022, a commitment that was put into action during last month’s Elkhart Open House. During the RV Women’s Alliance Breakfast on Tuesday, September 27, attendees were asked to write a note of inspiration to Care Camps Campers as part of their initiatives to give back to their communities.

RV Women’s Alliance members wrote over 75 cards that were donated to Care Camps, an organization that provides support to send kids with cancer to camps where they can have fun, build awesome friendships, feel the joy that comes from camping, and spending time in nature, make memories that will help them heal and ultimately return home feeling renewed and filled with hope.

“We find that our members enjoy not only networking but networking with a purpose. This year we have added some type of community service component to our events,” said Jessica Rider, Managing Director of the RV Women’s Alliance. “Our breakfast was a great opportunity to have attendees share words of inspiration for the children of Care Camps.”

Later at the RV Women’s Alliance booth located at Forest River’s East to West plant, attendees of the event were asked to help RVWA by stuffing a goodie bag for the volunteers of Boys and Girls Club. “Participants really enjoyed something different at our booth and liked that we had a give back component.” Rider continued.
