Meet Logan Montague

Member Spotlight

Dometic Communications Specialist serves on the RVWA Marketing and Membership committees

Produced in partnership with RVBusiness, the RVWA Spotlight is designed to introduce members of the RV Women’s Alliance to the rest of the RV industry as well as raise the awareness of RVWA and its mission, which is to bring together a diverse group of extraordinary women and men from across the RV industry who, through social and educational programs, mentorship and networking opportunities, are inspired and empowered to realize their individual potential, enhance their career experiences and create opportunities for the next generation of women leaders.

Tell us a little bit about your job.

I handle all of the PR/media inquiries for Dometic Americas as well as handling our internal PR/communications. I write press releases (externally) and newsletters (internally), write copy for emails, manage advertising/media plans, attend trade shows and much more. I also handle bringing on social media influencers for the Americas region for content and related social media purposes.

What do you like best about your job?

I love that my job involves lots of networking and meeting with other people. It allows me to prioritize my time in the office to get my work done, but also have the face-to-face interaction with media and other partners.

Where else have you worked?

Before coming to Dometic I worked at the TireRack right out of college for 9 months.

What was your first paid job?

When I was in high school I worked at Dairy Queen serving ice cream!

What do you like best about the RV industry?

The RV industry is a tight knit community where everyone is willing to jump in and introduce you to others.

The one thing the industry needs to work on is…

Continuing to become more innovative and forward thinking toward the newer generations. While it has started to take a step in that direction, there are tons of people that can still be catered to.

The most influential person in my career has been…

My mother. She has taught me the value of hard work and that nothing comes easy. From the time I turned 16 and could drive myself to work, she taught me that I had to work for what I wanted. As I have grown up and began my career, she has been my biggest cheerleader and advocate for finding a position doing what I love as well as staying on top of my skills and continuing to grow in my career.

The one thing people might be surprised to know about me is…

I love to travel and have a goal to visit all 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents by the time I’m 30! (I’m over halfway to my goal)!

As a member of RVWA, I hope to…

Continue to embrace being a woman in a mostly male industry and allow women to have a voice and be heard. I would also like to recruit more women to be a part of this industry.
