Meet Monika Geraci

Member Spotlight

Marketing Strategy & Operation at the RV Industry Association; Chair of Marketing Committee and on the Board of Directors at RVWA

Produced in partnership with RVBusiness, the RVWA Spotlight is designed to introduce members of the RV Women’s Alliance to the rest of the RV industry as well as raise the awareness of RVWA and its mission, which is to bring together a diverse group of extraordinary women and men from across the RV industry who, through social and educational programs, mentorship and networking opportunities, are inspired and empowered to realize their individual potential, enhance their career experiences and create opportunities for the next generation of women leaders.

Tell us a little bit about your job.

I have recently moved into a new role where I manage the content and marketing strategy for the signature programs of the RV Industry Association. Previously, I was a member of the government affairs team responsible for a number of things including growing the Capitol Hill Advocacy Day from a couple dozen participants to over 120 participants and managing the first-ever economic impact study of the RV industry

What do you like best about your job?

RVs Move America Week is hands-down my favorite week of the year (professionally). I love the energy and excitement of having so many members in DC charting not only the future of the association but also making a positive impact for our industry with federal policymakers.

Where else have you worked?

A DC public relations firm and Mitt Romney back when he was Governor of Massachusetts

What was your first paid job?

I was a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor back in high school. Making money while spending my days outside in the sun was amazing!

What do you like best about the RV industry?

It’s fun. I grew up RVing so I have a deep personal connection to the lifestyle which makes working for the industry really meaningful to me.

The one thing people might be surprised to know about me is…

I make cupcakes semi-professionally. It’s a creative outlet for me and something that I have been able to share with my two young daughters. #monikascupcakes

As a member of RVWA, I hope to…

Bring together a diverse group of people who want to support each other and see each other succeed. If at the very least we can build relationships between women in the industry who have each other’s backs, that would be huge. I have already been blown away by the women I have met through the organization, especially my committee members and fellow Board members.
